A long list of entertainers led by singers 9ice, Reminisce, and Disc Jockey DJ Neptune have been engaged for the premiere of the upcoming film, ‘Mimi.’
Scheduled to hold on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the Wave beach, Lekki, Lagos, the premiere has been themed the ‘Movie and Music Concert.’
Speaking on the occasion, AUL Media studios boss, Dickson Edward said, “MMC would feature the premiere of our studio’s collaboration with 007 Globallimited and SBD Global, Mimi.
It would also metamorphose into a concert rolled into one showpiece event with all the glitz and glamour. And aside from the music stars billed for the event, top standup comedian, Ali Baba, and Gbenga Adeyinka 1st will be joining Yvonne Jegede, Tobi Bakre, and Kiekie as hosts.”
Directed by Samuel ‘Bigsam’ Olatunji, ‘Mimi’ features an array of Nollywood stars like Ali Baba, Ireti Doyle, Toyin Abraham, Prince Jide Kosoko, Bimbo Akintola, Deyemi Okanlawon, Lateef Adedimeji, Lizzy Jay, Sanyeri, Bianca Ugowanne, Hafeez Oyetoro, Kiekie, Stephanie Isuma, Lolo 1, Taiwo Adeyemi, Bro Bouche, Semilore Adewumi, Timi Agbaje, and Officer Woos.
Mimi, which is set to be screened in more than 60 cinemas across the country, tells the story of a daughter of a billionaire, Mimi who despises poverty and poor people so much. In a twist of event, she found out her extremely rich parents weren’t her biological parent, and her real parent ‘sold’ her off at a young age to raise some funds to train her siblings, however in a bid to make her more responsible, her rich parents made her spend two weeks holiday with her biological parent who lives in abject poverty.
