COVID-19 deaths: South Africa overtakes Egypt.

Africa has recorded over 6,200 deaths due to
complications arising from COVID-19.
According to the latest number released by the
World Health Organization, WHO, regional
office for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo, there are
6,218 deaths recorded on the continent.
Africa has also recorded over 230,000
COVID-19 cases and 105,000 recoveries in 54
countries.
As of Sunday morning, Nigeria has recorded
399 reported deaths, fifth-highest on the
continent.
South Africa is now ahead of Egypt, with 1,423
deaths, the highest on the continent, while the
North African nation has 1,422 deaths.
Algeria has 760 reported deaths, while Sudan
has 433 deaths.
Other countries are Cameroon (270 deaths),
Morocco (212 deaths), DR Congo (105
deaths), Mali (104 deaths), Kenya (100
deaths), and Somalia (87 deaths).
