The crises rocking APC Edo State hits the rock when the current state governor Godwin Obaseki exit the party after loosing out in APC Governorship Primary due to inconsistency in Submitted Certificate.

Obaseki was in logger head with APC National Chairman, whose Membership was suspended in the state but recently lifted days ago. Obaseki accused Adams Oshiomole for Godfatherism which Oshiomole debunk claims below:

“How does a godfather operate? Is it by demanding for money or appointment or imposing opinions? How do I operate with him in all of these to make me a godfather? Did I ask him for money or appointment? Did I stop him from running the business of government? Yes.

I supported him and Shuaibu to become Governor and Deputy, if that is my error and what makes me a godfather, then it was indeed an error. It will be corrected. Democracy is not about godfatherism or the blackmail of it, democracy is about the people electing their choice and getting dividends of their actions…

“Now, let me tell you who a godfather is. In his bedroom, State Exco meeting holds, his personal account receives the Federal Allocations, he slaps the governor in a meeting, he gives governor allocation he thinks, in his wisdom, is enough to run the state and he keeps the balance in his imaginary rice farm.
