Modern cars have between 4-7 forward gears. The reverse have only one. In addition, the suspension of cars are built to go forward; that means the reverse gear can’t get you any serious speed. A typical Nigerian does not reverse looking at his mirror or the rear view camera when available; they reverse looking over their shoulder. Most people reverse at 12mikes per hour (20km per hour) and top speed for most cars in reverse, which is rarely attained is 35-40miles an hour.
The question is; at what speed was the “killer greeter” driving? Was she walking against the traffic or facing it? On what side of the road was she relative to him? Did Boko Haram infiltrators, sponsors and sympathizers orchestrate her death, making it look like an accident? Did she have any information that may implicate the military fat cats profiting from our collective misfortune in the fight against terror? If he were looking over his shoulder, mirror or camera; why did he not toot his horn?
We need a coroner’s inquest and thorough military investigation into her death to lift the cloud of suspicion. We can’t just believe anything because the authorities say so. At the speed of reverse gear, most accidents might cause a bone or two to break, not death.
Human beings are hard to kill. I am so pained by this death. It is a huge loss to Nigeria and a setback for women. May her soul find rest and may her family find the strength to cope with this monumental loss. Adieu Officer!
There are no words to describe this profound loss. In a country where Incredible Mediocrity and mind boggling Corruption, are Kings, a country where Crooked, and Moral Acrobats dominate our lives, then one Brilliant Candle appears.
One Committed Citizen is Celebrated for her impeccable accomplishments as Nigeria’s first female combat pilot in the Nigerian Airforce. Before we can put away our Champagne glasses, from toasting to a young life so driven to Excel, she loses her life in some silly, bizarre accident.
This Tragedy is too Sad to comprehend, and too tough to take. There is more to her death that meets the eye.
So, how do you begin to console her family? There is no consoling. This is a Shakespearean Tragedy.
May she touch the face of God. 😪🙏
